The visitor visa is intended for people who wish to enter Canada for tourism, family visits or for a short-term stay not related to work.

The study permit is intended for international students accepted by a designated educational institution in Canada.
3 | Work Permit
A work permit allows foreign nationals to work temporarily in Canada. There are two types of work permits:
Types of work permits:
Employer-specific work permit: requires a valid job offer and a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), unless exempt.
Open work permit : allows individuals to work for any employer in Canada.
Permanent residences
1 | Express Entry System
The Express Entry system is one of the fastest and most popular ways to obtain permanent residence in Canada. It manages applications for three key programs:
Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) : for skilled workers with overseas work experience.
Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) : intended for skilled trades workers with qualifications in demand in Canada.
Canadian Experience Class (CEC) : for individuals with skilled work experience in Canada.
2 | Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)
The study permit is intended for international students accepted by a designated educational institution in Canada.
3 | Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP)
Each Canadian province and territory (with the exception of Quebec) has its own PCP, tailored to the needs of the regional labour market.
Advantages : PPCs offer an alternative route to permanent residence, especially for applicants who do not meet the requirements of Express Entry.
Types of PCP : Some streams are aligned with Express Entry, while others are paper-based and processed separately.
